Promoting ethical children's clothes and toys - wellbeing and development, playdough recipe

While it’s fun for everyone, play dough is an amazing sensory toy for younger children and toddlers. It’s great for exercising those tiny hands and fingers, promoting fine motor skills and helping to give them a head start when learning to write and draw. Follow the recipe can also be made into a fun kitchen role play too! So, not only is this play dough recipe fun in every way, it’s educational too!

What you’ll need:
♥ 8 tablespoons of plain flour
♥ 2 tablespoons of salt
♥ 60ml of warm water
♥ food colouring
♥ 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

What to do:

Mix flour and salt in one bowl. Mix food colouring, water, and oil in another.

Pour the colour mix into the flour mix and bring together with a spoon.

Dust out some flour onto a surface and then use it to knead the dough together until it’s smooth and mouldable.
Tips: If you want a deeper colour, add more food colouring. If you want scented dough, add some essential oils!

Store in an airtight container like a lunch box.
